We had a day of mixed fortunes. To finish an
event after the issues we have faced from the
first two events of the year was an absolute
bonus & a great relief.
On SS3, we had the bolt that locates the right
rear trailing arm fail. The result was lots of
tyre smoke and when we stopped, the rear
wheel was at right angles to the car. 45
minutes later & thanks to Douglas who was
manning a road closure, we found a bolt to
fit, relocated the trailing arm and we were
away, with about 1 minute of late time
remaining. Thanks to Kieren and Donna at
the service park, we turned the car around in
about 2 minutes and remained in the rally.
We were classified 33rd O/R, not too bad
considering the dramas.
