2009 Yakkerboo Rally
Held in possibly the most treacherous
conditions we have competed in, the Yakkerboo
proved quite a test for both Dave & I and the little
Suby. We damaged the rear shocker mounts
quite early on during the first stage, so with the
conditions being so sour & our position on the
line in the 2009 Senior Cup Championship, we
played the slow and steady game to make it to
the finish. At times it felt like we were in a scene
from Driving Miss Daisy, but we made it to the
end & according to the championship standing
up to last night, it looks as though we have
accumulated enough points to take out the 2009
Senior Cup for both Dave and myself. This was
our goal at the start of the season so we are very
satisfied and am already planning how to extract
some much needed horsepower from the EA81
engine !! A special thanks goes out to Kieren &
Donna for their great support all season.
